Ruth Hynes Ramik, of Westport and formerly Fairfield, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011, at Norwalk Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley S. Ramik, D.D.S. Ruth was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Victor and Grace Rosenau Hynes. She was a graduate of Harding High School and a semi professional artist and interior designer. She attended the Wharton School of Art, Palm Beach, FL and the Silvermine School of Art, New Canaan. Ruth was an avid golfer and member of the Brooklawn Country Club, serving on numerous golf committees over the years. Ruth was past president of the Bridgeport Dental Association Women's Auxiliary. Survivors include her son, Craig K. Ramik, her daughter, Leslie B. Besson and husband Ronald G. of Westport, her "adopted daughter" Susan Mortensen of Bethany, two sisters, Doris Sikorsky and husband Henry of Stratford and Joan Hamilton of PA, three granddaughters, Robin, Renae and Roxanne Ramik; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Hynes. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers.
