The Lord welcomed home Ruth Schuler of Stratford, CT on December 9, 2015. She was born in Milford, CT on May 29, 1915, the fourth child of George and Henrietta Hildebrand and lived a full life of 100 years. A lifelong resident of Connecticut, she worked for many years at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford. Her hobbies included music, golf, bowling, traveling and games. Ruth came from a fine, close-knit family of eight siblings. She was preceded in death by brothers Ted, George, Ray, Roy and Bill as well as sisters Florence and Lillian. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Waldo Libbey and second husband, George Schuler. She loved her family very much and was so happy to see her children, grandchildren, as well as great grandchildren grow up and thrive. Ruth is survived by daughters Gail (Don) Gorlo of Stratford, CT and Pat (Dick) Parrott of The Villages, FL; grandchildren Scott Parrott of Atlanta, GA, Dawn (Bob) Leety of Nazareth, PA, Dean (Jane) Parrott of Milford, CT, Kimberly (Larry) Hayward of Venice, FL and Keith Gorlo of Stratford, CT as well as thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. There will be a celebration of Ruth's life Sunday, January 24, 2016 2pm at Unity Hill United Church of Christ – 364 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611.
