Salvatore Amore, age 86 of Trumbull, beloved husband of Francesca Scalici Amore, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021, in his home. Salvatore was born in Italy, son of the late Giovanni and Teresa Resca Amore, and worked for the Town of Harrison, NY, in the Park and Recreation Department, retiring in 2004. He was an avid gardener both at home and at work and loved cooking with his home grown produce. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife include his devoted son Giovanni Amore and wife Jennifer of Trumbull, two cherished granddaughters Juliet Rae Amore and Scarlett Olivia Amore, a nephew Tony Rizzo, and two great nephews Christopher and Stephen Rizzo of New Jersey. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Saturday morning after 9:00a.m. until 11:00a.m., in the funeral home. Please follow the Covid guidelines and masks are required at the funeral home and cemetery.
