Sharon L. Grinnell, age 67, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017. Sharon was the daughter of the late William and Florence Whitney Grinnell and had been a lifelong Bridgeport resident. She was a devoted employee for forty-nine years at Acme United, as a data base analyst. Sharon was always thinking of others. She loved cats, gardening, and cooking for her family. She enjoyed watching the Yankees and The Golden Girls with her mother and sister. Survivors include a beloved brother Edward Grinnell and wife Catherine of Bridgeport, three nieces Teresa Grinnell and Ken Abbati of Bridgeport, Kim and John Sboros of Florida, and Kelley Paton of Florida, two nephews Shaun Grinnell and wife Amy of Shelton, and Robert Provenzano of Bridgeport, two grandnephews, Tyler Paton and William Grinnell, as well as her best friend Barbara Mazzarese. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia L. Provenzano and brother Kenneth Grinnell. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:15a.m., from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and 10:00.am., in Saint Augustine Cathedral, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Monday morning from 8:15a.m. to 9:15a.m., in the funeral home.
