Shirley L. Coburn Phelps, age 82 of Fairfield died at Bridgeport Hospital on Thursday, December 30, 2010, her 64th Wedding Anniversary with her beloved husband Richard Phelps. Born in Stamford the daughter of the late Alphonse and Margaret Finter Coburn, she had been a Fairfield resident most of her life. In addition to her husband she is survived by her loving daughter, Deborah L. Phelps and her husband Steven Shuman of Torrington and several grandchildren. Private funeral services will be held.
