Stanley M. Szamatulski, age 80, beloved husband of Lorraine A. Yasinskas Szamatulski for 52 years, passed away on August 12, 2009, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Stanley, son of the late Michael and Mariann Kicia Szamatulski, was born in Bridgeport and lived in Trumbull for the past 45 years. He graduated from the Bridgeport Engineering Institute and earned his MBA degree from Sacred Heart University. After a successful career as a mechanical engineer, he retired from Marlin Firearms Company in North Haven.  In his personal life, he was an active member of St. Theresa Parish, serving as a Eucharist Minister, a member of the First Friday Adoration Society, and a 25 year member of the Holy Family Retreat Center   He also managed Trumbull Little League baseball and basketball teams for many years. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by five children, Mark Szamatulski and wife, Tess of Trumbull; Mary L. Pulido and husband, Jorge of Riverdale, NY; David Szamatulski and wife, Deanna of Grandview, TX, and their children Julie, Kasey and Spenser; Laura Szamatulski of Trumbull, and Lyn Szamatulski of Palm Beach FL; his siblings, Ronald Szamatulski and Dolores Szamatulski, both of Trumbull, and four step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Sara. Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 9:15am from the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 10:00am in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
