Stella (Stanislava) M. Damsky Blasko, age 94 of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Blasko, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 in Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull. Mrs. Blasko was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Boleslaw and Dorota Kanios Damsky, and was a Trumbull resident for over forty years before moving to Stratford to live with her daughter. She retired as a lead lady for the General Electric Company and was a member of their Quarter Century Club as well as a member and past president of the St. Theresa's Seniors. Survivors include her devoted daughter, Gladys Jass and husband Milin of Stratford, a brother William Damsky and wife Mary of New Bedford, MA, two grandchildren Mark Jass and fiancé MaryAnne and Monica McMullan and husband Jack, three great grandchildren Maeve, Brendan, and Owen McMullan, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Joan Anne Blasko, three brothers, Stephen, John and Chester Damsky, and a sister Mary Kleban. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:15 am., from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 11:00 am., in St. Theresa Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Thursday (TODAY) from 4 to 7 pm. in the funeral home.
