Stella A. Slowikowska Czoska, age 93, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Conrad G. Czoska, passed away Monday, August 3, 2009, in her home. Stella was born in Brooklyn, NY and has resided in Bridgeport 52 years. A very caring person, Stella was caretaker and babysitter "Grandma Stella" to many. She enjoyed sewing, pokeno and sending clothing and gifts to family in Poland. She was a longtime member of the St. Teresa's Guild of Holy Rosary Church. Survivors include her loving and devoted daughters, Dorothy Schiano and husband Louie of Boothwyn, PA, Maryann Kruszka and husband Ed of Bridgeport and Margie Hofacker and husband Bob of Glen Cove, NY, a brother, Sonny Slowikowski and wife Mary of Toano, VA, a sister, Teresa Dzieciolowski of Staten Island, NY, six cherished grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, 2 step - grandchildren, 6 step – great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John Niedzielski and a grandson, Conrad L. Schiano. Funeral services will be held Friday, at 9:a.m. from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Friends may call Thursday, 4: 00 – 8:00 p.m. Stella's family extends a special thank you to Partners in Care for all their love and kindness.
