Stella J. Pogorzelski, age 85, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, wife of the late John Pogorzelski, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loved ones at Danbury Hospital on July 14, 2009.  Prior to her hospitalization, she was a resident at Ashlar of Newtown and participated in many activities and volunteered her time with many of Ashlars' clubs.  She was retired from the Warnaco Co. where she was employed for over 10 years, in her early career she worked for Columbia Records.  She will be remembered for her boisterous laugh, her love of gardening, music and dancing, especially the polka and her hoo, hoo exclaims while dancing.  Survivors include her children Robert Pogorzelski and wife Kim of Woodbury, Veronica (Pogorzelski) Jensen and husband Edward of Monroe, she is also survived by her beloved grandson, the light of her life, Jack Jensen and several nieces and nephews.  She will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15am from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 10:00am in St. Andrew Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
