Stephen F. Veroczi age 89 of Monroe passed away peacefully Monday, January 18, 2010 at Masonicare, Newtown. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise M. Vitale Veroczi for 60 years and father of the late Stephen F. Veroczi. Born in Bridgeport he was a Trumbull resident for 50 years, currently residing with his daughter in Monroe for the past nine years. Survivors include his loving daughter Madelyn Starkey, daughter-in-law Carol Veroczi, sisters, Elizabeth Klusko of PA, Katherine Cicale of NY, Eleanor Clark of IA, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jack and his wife Sue Starkey of MA, Michael, his wife Laurie Starkey and their children Elizabeth and Andrew of CA, Jennifer June and her husband Rob and their children Robert and Nicholas of CT, Skot Veroczi of MA and Sabrina Veroczi of NY. In addition to his wife and son, he was predeceased by his brother Andrew and sisters Julia, Jeanette and Margaret. Stephen was U.S. Veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant in the Europe Africa and Middle Eastern theater campaigns. He worked as a controller at Trumbull Printing for many years and was a member of the Trumbull Seniors AARP. Stephen was devoted to his family and friends and he will be remembered with eternal love. Stephen's humor and spirit will live on in those who knew him. We will miss you. Thanks for all the wonderful memories. You are the best and we love you. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00am meeting directly in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown. There will be no calling hours.
