Susan Hawkins Howard, age 94 a longtime Trumbull resident, beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Howard, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015, in her home. Susan was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late William J. and Irene Burns Hawkins and retired as the assistant to the finance director for the Town of Trumbull. Survivors include her devoted children; Jay Howard and wife Pamela, Joan Samson and husband Alain, Sr. Ann Howard, SND, and Pat Parnoff and husband Rick, daughter-in-law Anne McCullough, five grandchildren; Martha Parkins and husband Jeremy, Patrick Parnoff and wife Rebecca, Jacqueline Lagoy and husband Scott, Amy Samson, and Claire Howard, great grandchildren Ryker and Kelsey Parkins, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Robert Howard and two brothers William and Robert Hawkins. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00a.m., meeting directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Sunday from 4p.m. to 7p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
