Susan Van Stone age 67 passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14 at Hospice of Wake County in Raleigh, NC. Susan was born in Bridgeport, and was a resident of Fairfield for over 30 years. Susan is the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Van Stone and wife of the late Harold T. Murray, Jr. Susan was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield. Susan worked in Radio for over 20 years and was the General Manager of WMAS radio in Springfield, MA. Susan is survived by her devoted children Ellen Baranosky of Raleigh, NC, Julie Sperrazza and her husband Kevin of Raleigh, NC, and her son BJ Baranosky and his wife Jeanne of Fairfield. Susan's favorite moments were spent with her beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Michael Francis, Christopher, Lillian, Mollie, Grace and William and great grandson Benjamin. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Van Stone and his wife Sharon of Shelton. Susan retired to Hilton Head where her favorite pastime was spending time at the beach, golfing with her friends, and riding in her golf cart with her miniature schnauzer and companion Darby. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Raleigh on March 22 at 11am at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will take place in Connecticut at a later date.
