Terry R. Cassel, age 70, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Suzanna Pember Cassel, died Monday, September 8, 2008, at CT Hospice, Branford. Terry was born in Glens Falls, NY, son of the late Robert A. and Ellen Moon Cassel. He was a graduate of Harding High School, class of 1956 and served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Bridgeport Police Department after 28 years of service as a patrolman and then worked as a sheriff for the Superior Count, also retiring from that position. Survivors include his loving children, a son, Mark C. Cassel and his wife Ann of Ansonia and a daughter, Jacqueline Teixeira and her husband Bryan of Seymour, two grandsons, Jarod and Jacob Teixeira; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Church of Christ Congregational, 34 West Main Street, Milford, with the Rev. Dr. James P. Tudesco, Pastor, officiating. Interment with full military honors will be private. Friends may call Tuesday, 6 – 8 p.m. and Wednesday, 4 – 8 p.m., at the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
