Theadora  "Dorothy" Warholak Kmiotek, age 88 of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Michael Walter Kmiotek, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters and son-in-law, on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in the Jewish Home. Dorothy was born the 8th of 15 children to the late Michael and Mary Suczyk Warholak in Simpson, PA, daughter, and a graduate of West Scranton High School. She retired from Sikorsky Aircraft as an engraver, and enjoyed crocheting, travel, baking, pinochle and playing cards. Survivors include her devoted daughters Theadora Esposito and Diane M. Astolfi and husband Michael both of Fairfield, a brother and sister Ted Warholak and Margie Qubick, four cherished grandchildren Nicole Raccio and husband Dave, Lindsey Vayneris and husband Konstantin, Samantha Astolfi and Michael Astolfi II, three great grandchildren Olivia and Lizzie Raccio, and Elliott Vayneris, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her siblings John Warholak, Mary Brown, Ann Krasowski, Katherine Marcinko, Eva Husanita, Paul Warholak, Mike Warholak, Nancy Wallick, Sue Krupinski, Julie Kozy, Charlie Warholak and Joe Warholak. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00a.m., meeting directly in St Joseph's Polish National Catholic Church, 1300 Stratford Road, Stratford, CT 06615. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery (next to the Church). Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
