Theresa E. Pineau Gaines, age 86, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Arthur J. Gaines Sr., died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mrs. Gaines was born in Portland, Maine, daughter of the late Napoleon and Elizabeth Gallant Pineau.  For many years she worked in retail sales for Nyden's, Skydel's, Kay's and Arthur's and also at the cafeteria in Central High School. She enjoyed residing and being involved with her friends at the Seymour - Hollander House, over the last few years. Most of all, she adored the times she shared with her family, whether it be holiday baking, summer picnics, or pool parties. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne Sistrand and in addition to her beloved husband of 67 years, is survived by her devoted and loving children, Arthur J. Gaines Jr., and wife Aline of Huntersville, North Carolina, Raymond E. Gaines Sr., and wife Maria of Easton, Eileen Messina and husband Ed of Watertown and Kathleen Piccirillo and husband Bernie of Waterbury, a son-in-law David Sistrand Sr., of Delaware, a brother, George Pineau of Largo, Florida, 10 cherished grandchildren, David Sistrand Jr., Arthur Sistrand, Chrishelle Micolucci, Raymond E. Gaines Jr., Ryan Gaines, Michael Messina, Cheryl Messina, Jennifer Stone, Vinny Piccirillo and Amy Piccirillo, 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Henry, Leo, John (Ray) and Clarence Pineau and a sister, Bernice Dolan. Funeral services will be held Monday, at 10:15 a.m. from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
