Thomas Patrick Kearney Thomas Kearney of Healdsburg, California passed away at home on August 13, 2022, at 79 years of age (37 days shy of his 80th birthday). Tom will be lovingly remembered by his brother Richard (Dick) Kearney and his wife Francine; his sister Maureen Norris; his niece and Godchild Laura Norris; and his nephew Brandon Kearney and his family.

Thomas Patrick Kearney was born on September 19, 1942 in Bridgeport, CT and was raised in Trumbull (Long Hill), CT. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Honora (Lynch) Kearney.

He was a graduate of Fairfield Prep and Fairfield University and moved to New York City where he began a career in the new world of data processing at Equitable Life, New York Life, National Distillers, and Avon Products. After finding Bill Wilson and Doctor Bob in 1975, he was employed as a consultant to Levi Strauss & Co. and, while with them, lived and worked in San Francisco, London, and Brussels. After relocating several times, Tom decided to stay in San Francisco where he opened and operated a fancy-dessert bakery. His final working experience was at historic Old First Presbyterian Church in San Francisco where he shared 19 years of his life with many wonderful people.

Upon retirement in 2007, Tom moved full time to a home he used as a weekend retreat for many years in northern California's agricultural Sonoma County. There, he and his dog puttered peacefully in the garden. He spent many years researching the family history, resulting in a family tree of more than 8,000 people. Tom will fondly be remembered by the many, many Lynch, Kearney, Zwierlein, Vorndran, Brady, Mathews, Heery, Finnell, McMahon, Keating, and Smith cousins around the world, with whom he corresponded.

Tom will also live on through the love he had for his family and in the memories of many friends from childhood to the present day.

A prayer service will be celebrated Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 11 a.m. and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. at Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and 4 Gorham Place, Trumbull, CT. Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Newtown (Sandy Hook), CT.
