IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy James
Ward
March 31, 1970 – June 18, 2023
Timothy James Ward, 53, passed away suddenly on June 18, 2023. Born in Bridgeport, CT, on March 31, 1970, he was the son of Peter and Patricia Ward. He is survived by his mother Patricia, of Kittery Point, ME; his sister Shannon Swiger and her husband, Terrence, and his nephews Terrence and Aidan, of Kittery Point, ME; his daughter Maggie and his son Brady, of Fairfield, CT, whom he loved so dearly. He was predeceased by his brother Scott, his father Peter, and his brother Sean. Timmy grew up in Fairfield attending Assumption School and Fairfield High School making lifelong friends along the way. He loved all sports, but excelled at baseball and played for Sacred Heart University. He was a kind and generous soul who touched the lives of those around him in countless ways. He was always willing to offer a helping hand and go above and beyond for any friend in need. Whether it was to build a new deck, or install a shower head, he was the handyman who everyone called upon. He enjoyed seeing old friends and volunteering at the Assumption Fair every year, even if it meant being on garbage duty, he obliged with a smile and a great attitude. While a stubborn old Irishman, he was a softy at heart, known to shed a tear during many songs, commercials, tv shows and special moments with close friends. Not many know, but he was a great sketch artist, including his sister Shannon's wedding invitation of the leaning Birch tree at the lake house. Oh how he loved the house on Silver Lake in Maine, the fireworks on the Fourth of July, the snowmobiling, and his great group of friends there for the party! Don't forget the Hummel hot dogs. He had a brotherhood of longtime friends whom he considered family. His happy place was on the golf course, mostly Smith Richardson, and his Sunday morning tee times with the core group, they know who they are, and he was always happy to be "a fourth". Timmy had a strong passion for music and sharing it with friends either in person or on Facebook. He loved cooking for friends, and always enjoyed a good meatball challenge between the Irish and Italians. Above all, he loved being a dad. He will miss each and every one of you, but not nearly as much as we will all miss him. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
