Tobin M. Mellish, age 52, of New Haven and formerly Bridgeport, passed away tragically, December 1, 2010. Tobin was the son of the late Donald A. Mellish, assistant director of the civil service commission of Bridgeport and Valery C. O'Connell Mellish R.N. He was a graduate of St. Peter's School, Fairfield Prep and received a B.A. from Providence College and a Master's Degree in corporate and political communication from Fairfield University. Tobin had worked as a marketing manager for McGraw – Hill and caddy and security for the Brooklawn Country Club. He loved golf and photography. Survivors include his beloved sister, Valery D. Covello of Stamford, nephew Brendan, cousins, Dr. Kurt C. Schlitchting and wife Mary of Fairfield and Joy S. Gess and husband Robert of Middletown, additional cousins and brother-in-law, Marshall A. Covello of Stamford. Friends may call Monday from, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, with a prayer service to be conducted at 6:30 pm. Burial will be private.
