Valentina Szurek, age 83 of Fairfield, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Waclaw (Walter) Szurek. Born in Poland, she came to this country in 1957. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, traveling and animals. Valentina loved her family and was responsible for raising her daughter, Jennifer Szurek; son, Edward Szurek; her granddaughter ,Angela Couzzo; her grandson, Paul Lee; and great-grandchildren, Steven and Amanda Lee. At her family's request funeral services will be private. Arrangements by the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
