Vernon V. Bartosik age 87 of Trumbull died Tuesday November 15, 2011 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara Brannick Bartosik. He was predeceased by his first wife Mary Louise O'Brien Barosik. Born in Easton Mr. Bartosik was a Trumbull resident for the past 61 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran serving during World War II, attended UMass Amherst and received his degree from Cornell University. Mr. Bartosik was the owner of Bart Shopping Center. Survivors in addition to his wife of 26 years Barbara include his daughter Sallyanne Gibson, sons, David V. Bartosik and Mark R. Bartosik, brother Vincent A. Bartosik, his step daughter and step son, 8 grandchildren, his niece and nephews, and many, many friends. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00am meeting directly in Grace Episcopal Church, 5958 Main Street, Trumbull.
