Veronica C. Gutman Toth, age 89 of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Lester J. Toth, passed away, Thursday, January 12, 2012 in St. Joseph's Manor. Veronica was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa Horvath Gutman and was a Trumbull resident most of her life. She was a Past member of the St. Vincent's Heart Club, St. Theresa Confraternity of the Rosary, and was President of Resident Council at St. Joseph's Manor. Veronica established correspondence with hundreds of pen pals globally and she was a Cheer Mail Volunteer, sending cards and letters to sick or housebound people, young and old. Survivors include her devoted daughters, Maryln J. Strashart and Gloria C. Pacelli and husband Frank A. Pacelli Jr., all of Trumbull, four cherished grandchildren Jennifer Groballi and husband Kelli, Jacqueline Wake and husband Simon, Michele Schwarz and husband Andrew and Frank Pacelli III and wife Christine, four loving great grandchildren Skye and Star Groballi, Kristian Wake and Jacob Schwarz, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in addition to her husband and parents by her son-in-law Richard Strashart, a brother Joseph Gutman and a sister Theresa Martinsky. The family would like to thank St. Joseph's Manor for their loving care. Our "Nina" will be fondly remembered for her loving spirit. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:15am from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00am in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial.
