Obituary

Virginia M. Berger, age 95 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Leonard F. Berger, Sr. passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly, Fairfield. Virginia was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Arthur A. and Mae Barry Whyland. Virginia formerly lived at 3030 Park, Bridgeport and was a resident in Trumbull and Bridgeport most of her life. She retired from People's Bank, was a member of the Algonquin Club, a Board Member of the League of St. Joseph's Manor, Trumbull, and enjoyed golfing. Virginia is survived by her son Joseph T. Barron, Jr. and wife Sandra; Her husband Leonard's children; Leonard F. Berger, Jr., Allan T. Berger, and Elaine B. Mileski; Joseph's children Petra A.D. Lee, Gerhard A. Barron, Katherine V.M. Clough, Julie A. Skukalek, Karen D. Cady, James R. Barron, Kimberly L. Haller, Amy C. Simpson, 17 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, and her nephew, Robert A. Whyland, Jr. She was predeceased by her brother Robert A. Whyland, her niece, Patricia A. Cole, and Leonard's daughter Leonara Clancy. Funeral services will be private at Virginia's request.
