Virginia E. Griffin Rowan, age 77 of Trumbull passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Saint Vincent's Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Michael E. Rowan. Born in Bridgeport, Virginia has been a Trumbull resident for 57 years. She was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield and enjoyed collecting antiques. In addition to her husband she is survived by her loving sons, Michael Rowan Jr. and his wife Lori of Trumbull and Mark Rowan and his wife Susan of Shelton, her twin sister, Gayle Griffin of California, six grandchildren, Tracey, Stefanie, Mathew, Mark Jr., Jessica and Nicholas, and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, John Griffin, mother, Marie Estelle Harrigan, step father Gerald Harrigan, and brother, John Griffin. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00am meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 4-8pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
