Vivian Schaflin Donaldson, age 90 of Bridgeport died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Northbridge Health Care. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Edward Donaldson. Born in Newark, New Jersey, she was a the daughter of the late Ernest and Louise Schaflin and was a Bridgeport resident most of her life. Mrs. Donaldson retired as a sales clerk at Gimbels Department Store. Survivors include her daughters, Claire Lambert and her husband Francis of Milford, Mary D. Derrah of Beacon Falls, son Gene Donaldson and his wife Claire of Birmingham, Alabama, brother Eugene Schaflin of Fayettville, Arkansas, grandchildren, John Lambert, Laura Downey and her husband, Fred, Deborah Donaldson, Martin Donaldson, great grandchildren, William and Ava Downey, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, her sister Helen Atherton predeceased her. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00am in St. Ambrose Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial.
