Wallis Darte Bolton, age 88, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Connecticut Hospice surrounded by family. Born on January 18, 1928, to Wyman and Sophia Waschko Bolton, Wallis was raised in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Electrical Engineering after serving in the U.S. Navy and later earned a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering at Syracuse University.  He worked for the IBM Corporation for thirty-eight years in product development and after his retirement, did project management consulting for a number of small firms. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Elaine Heckmann Bolton, with whom he raised five children, and second wife, Patricia Grant Bolton. Survivors include his children; Anne Bolton of Lexington, KY, Wallis Darte Bolton Jr., and wife Kirsten of North Kingstown, RI, Leslie Eriksen and husband Peter of Torrington, Mark Bolton and wife Pam of Fort Myers, FL;  his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two brothers, Nelson Bolton of Trumbauersville, PA and William Bolton of Empire, MI. His son, Peter Bolton, pre-deceased him.. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 7, 2016  at 10:00 a.m., in Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Erskine Road, Stamford followed by a Memorial Service in Wallingford at Masonicare Ashlar Village in Auditorium C, Hartog Activity Center, starting at 3:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the St. Paul's All Saints Memorial Fund, 65 N.
