Walter McEvoy, age 71 of Bridgeport passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care. Born in Bridgeport he was the son of the late James and Marguerite DeWard McEvoy. Walter was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft where he worked as a plumber. He was an avid New York Mets fan and Ranger fan. Survivors include his daughter, Ashley McEvoy of Seymour and her fiance', Geoffrey, son, Tim McEvoy, daughter, Alison McEvoy, granddaughter, McKenzie McEvoy, all of Milwaukee, WI, sisters, Barbara Moser (Phil), Marguerite Petrucelli (Daniel), brother, Gene McEvoy and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Marianne McEvoy. Friends may greet his family Wednesday 9:30 – 10:30am in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit in a timely manner to ensure all guests can come through the building.
