Obituary

On May 21, 2025, William Deignan "Deig" Dehler Jr. departed from this life and his loved ones during his second battle with pancreatic cancer, after being cancer-free for two years.

Will was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Kathleen and William Dehler and raised in Westport, CT.  In high school, he attended St. Thomas More preparatory boarding school and Fairfield College Preparatory School.  He went on to graduate from Western New England University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Pairing his love of talking with people and his education, he started his career in sales.  Beginning with selling copiers, he learned the hardcore experience that launched him into corporate furniture sales, where he loved the art of fabric and design.  Will loved his yard and gardens and devoted much time to their care. He found great joy in playing golf, one of his lifelong passions - made extremely special by achieving a hole-in-one!  In recent days, he lovingly sewed new cushions for our boat, a reflection of his care and creativity.  He also delighted in the daily ritual of Wordle, sharing his results with friends and family as a way to stay connected and spread a bit of cheer.  Throughout his journey with cancer, he remained positive and deeply grateful for the outpouring of love. Will's enduring love for his wife and sons will continue to be felt for years to come.

Will was husband to Ingrid Peterson Dehler and father to Charles and Harrison Dehler.  He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Nora Stuart (Matt) of SC, John Dehler of CT, Andrew Dehler (Tracey) of CT, Kate Stewart (Mark) of CT, Elizabeth Morrall (Mitch) of FL and Matthew Dehler of CA, and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
