William K. Dinter passed away on September 17, 2024. He was born to Helen F. and Randolph H. Dinter of Cos Cob, CT, on November 17, 1947. Bill enlisted and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He serviced and handled aircraft on the flight decks of three active carries during this period. When he returned to Greenwich at the end of his tour of duty, he took up tree work. It wasn't too long before Bill married and bought a house in Stamford. He soon became a certified locksmith. His true love was music along with his dogs. Bill was an accomplished musician and enjoyed playing the accordion for small groups of people. Like so many veterans, P.T.S.D. assumed a greater and greater role in his life as he got older. He got divorced and lived a life in decline, finally succumbing to cancer at the St. Camillus/Ark Nursing Facility in Stamford at the age of 77. He is survived by his brother Randy (Harriet) of Stamford and his sister Kathleen Christopher (Jim) of New Hampshire. Burial will be private.
