William Richard Dunn Sr. age 80 of Trumbull passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of the late Anne Theresa Wynne Dunn. Born in Bridgeport he was the son of the late Richard William Dunn and Dorothea Smith Dunn. He graduated from Fairfield Prep in 1950, received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Detroit, and was retired from United Illuminating where he worked in commercial customer service. He earned his private's pilot's license at the age of 50 and also loved building and flying model airplanes. He was active member in the White Hills RC Club in Shelton, CT as well as Florida, where he made many friends. Bill enjoyed working at Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Directors in his retirement. He was the devoted father of four loving children, daughters, Mary Ellen Dunn McGarry and her husband James of Prescott Valley, AZ, Sharon Anne Dunn of Stratford, Margaret Dunn Mastroni and her husband Louis of Trumbull, and his son, William Richard Dunn Jr. of Trumbull. He cherished his beautiful grandchildren, James Louis Mastroni, Nicole Sarah Mastroni, and William Nicholas Mastroni, and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 am meeting directly in St. Stephen's Church, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Friends may call Wednesday 4-8pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
