He was the beloved husband of Mary Sansone Flynn. Born in the Bronx, he was the son of the late Arthur R. and Alice Riley Flynn. Mr. Flynn was a resident of Trumbull most of his life before moving to Oronoque Village in 2000. He had a long and successful career in public affairs. He worked for the National Association of Manufacturers and the University of New Haven, owned his own public relations firm, Pace Corp, and was the Vice President of Public Affairs at the University of Bridgeport. Mr. Flynn served on the Board of the American Red Cross, Fairfield County Chapter from 1988-2006 and was a member of the Jaycees. In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by twelve children, Patrick (Barbara) Flynn, Claire (Randy) McIntyre, Kathleen Flynn, Roberta (Shawn) Murphy, Linda (Ed) Schernau, Peggy (Jeff) Brown, William (Vicky) Flynn Jr., Robert Flynn, Marilib (Randy) Swan, Amy Flynn, Michael  (Heather) Flynn, and Timothy (Becky) Flynn, 28 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Arthur R. Flynn Jr. He possessed a great love of family, the Catholic Church, life and of course the New York Yankees (not necessarily in that order). His greatest joy was time spent with his family, especially if they were cheering on the Yankees with him.  He and his wife Mary loved to travel, crisscrossing the country and the Atlantic to spend time with their children and grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00am in St. Mark's Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Monday 4-8pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
