William A. Marshall of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on August 3rd after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born in Milford on April 5th, 1928 to George and Pauline Dwyer Marshall. Bill was a U S Navy veteran and soon after being honorably discharged, he married Anna Chapar who was to be his loving wife of 62 years. Bill was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft until 1966 when he founded a new business which included Air Freight, Interstate Trucking and United States Customs Brokerage services. He worked hard and successfully grew his new business with the help of Anna and their daughter Carol. He served as President of the Bridgeport Traffic Association. Bill sold his company and retired at the young age of 60. Bill and Anna attended mass each Sunday together, he prayed every evening at 6 PM, and he blessed himself each time he passed a church. He was as "religious" about watching Jeopardy each night at 7 PM. Bill enjoyed playing golf and collecting and driving his antique cars. He liked watching old movies and favorite actors included James Cagney and Mickey Rooney. Goldie Hawn made him laugh and he admired Frank Sinatra. Bill's greatest joy came from the time spent with his family, especially at "pasta night" on Wednesday evenings these past few years.
