William Seres, age 87 of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Sophie C. Rutkiewicz Seres, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, in St. Vincent's Medical Center. A long time Bridgeport resident, Bill was born December 3, 1930, son of the late John and Helen Olazs Seres, and is a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.  He worked in the insurance industry and as a contract analysis for multiple defense systems manufacturers.  Bill proudly served his fellow citizens as an Alderman, State Representative and Interim Mayor for the City of Bridgeport and performed for many years at the Polka Dot Playhouse.  He was known for his quick wit and enjoyed making others feel at ease while sharing a laugh or the occasional bad joke.  Survivors include his devoted children; three daughters Susan Aldo of Bridgeport, Linda Crouse and husband Chuck of Huntington, and Janet Wynne and husband Jack of Trumbull, a son William Seres and wife Melissa of Watertown, eight cherished grandchildren Lindsay and Charles Aldo, Kristopher and Matthew Laing, Jackson and Elizabeth Wynne, Catherine and Andrew Seres, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, a son-in-law Charles Aldo, and a grandson Conor Wynne. At Bill's request funeral services will be private.
