Obituary

William S. “BooBoo” Sinclair passed away February 21, 2026 at Cambridge Manor, but resided most of his life in Trumbull, CT. Born October 20, 1940, he was the son of Clifford W. Sinclair and Anne F. (Homko) Sinclair. Bill worked in retail a good number of years at D.M. Read’s (Bpt. And Trumbull), G. Fox and Florsheim Shoes. He attended the University of Bridgeport majoring in music, but was trained in Classical Music at Yale prior to that. He was drafted into the Army and stationed in Stuttgart, Germany where he played the trombone in the Army Band. But his real love of music was really playing Traditional Jazz as well as New Orleans Jazz playing all over the United States and throughout Europe. Starting with The Easy Riders Jazz Band and especially The Galvanized Jazz since 1971. Throughout his career he played with such notables as Conrad Janis, Woody Allen and Sammy Remington. He leaves behind his sisters Evanne K. Brooks of Port St. Lucie, FL. and Barbara (Doug) Dickinson of Carolina Shores, NC. And most especially his beloved niece Becky A. Dickinson of Trumbull, CT and cats Reilly and Peter, who brought him endless joy. A Memorial Mass will be held May 5, 2026 at 11:00am in St. Theresa’s Church, 5306 Main St. Trumbull. Burial to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeportt. CT. There will be no calling hours.
