Abraham Joseph Glatt

Abraham Joseph Glatt, age 84 of Monroe passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Danbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn Bernath Glatt for 57 years. Born in Bronx, NY, Joseph attended Bryant College and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for 34 years at Sears and Roebuck as a sales manager in Bridgeport and Danbury. He later worked as a manager at KB Toys in Newtown and at Warehouse Wines in Monroe. In addition to his wife Evelyn, he is survived by his loving children, Jacqueline Bredice and her husband Vincent, Sharon Halpin and her husband Joseph, Richard Glatt and his wife Denise, grandchildren, Daniel, Amanda and Andrew, sister Mindy Porter and brothers, Arthur, Harvey and Melvin Glatt, and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Jeanette Gudewitz Glatt and his brothers, Harold and Robert. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 noon in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. John’s cemetery in Monroe.
