Barbara E. Boyhan Sliva, age 95 of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Stephen F. Sliva, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, CT on May 22, 1926 to the late John H. and Jennie Kelley Boyhan, Barbara graduated from Central High School and attended Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing for a short time. She then went on to work at Bryant Electric Company. During this time she met and married Stephen. She also went to work at Remington Arms and traveled extensively with Stephen. She was a homemaker and they became parents of Patricia Shoemaker (Mark) of Guilford, Brian Sliva (Kim) of Stratford, and Jean Siconolfi (Michael) of Fairfield. She was also a grandmother to six loving grandchildren, Ryan Sliva (Arpa), Meaghan Sliva, Sarah, Christopher, and Katie Siconolfi, and Riley Shoemaker, and a great grandmother to Dylan Sliva. In addition to her beloved husband of sixty-one years, she was predeceased by her brother John H. Boyhan. She is survived by a sister-in-law Cynthia Boyhan of Wyoming, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 10:00a.m., meeting directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue, Trumbull.  Interment will be private at Nichols Farms Burial Grounds. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements by the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N.
