Beverly L. Higgins

Beverly L. Brown Higgins, age 89 of Monroe, CT and beloved wife of the late Kenneth D. Higgins, passed away peacefully Friday, October 26, 2018, at Masonicare Health Center, in Wallingford, CT. Beverly was born in Bridgeport, CT daughter of the late Curtice and Lillian Basca Brown and was a lifelong area resident. She retiredfrom a career as a secretary with the Trumbull V.N.A., was an activemember of the Genealogy Association, was active with the Monroe Senior Center, and enjoyed time at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe. Survivors include her devoted children;BonnieLee Mangano of Pembroke Pines FL, Terri R. Higgins of Cheshire, David K. Higgins and wife Lori of Old Lyme, John S. Higgins and wife Francene of Stratford, a brother Blair Brown of Maine. She was also a beloved grandmother to her ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Robert A. Mangano, daughter-in-law Sandra L. Higgins and a sister Donna Johnson. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 30, at 1:30 p.m., meeting directly in St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford.
