Carmen S. LaGaipa passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at the age of 83. Born in Bridgeport on September 10, 1934 he was the son of the late Alphonso and Lucy Spinelli LaGaipa. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Carmen worked in the construction business until he retired in his mid-60’s. He was a dedicated family man who loved to travel the country with his family. Anyone who had the good fortune of knowing him knew what a good friend they had with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed being a longtime Milford resident. Survivors include his longtime loving wife Lorraine two sons, Albert LaGaipa and his wife Martha, and Carmen D. LaGaipa Sr., all of Milford, grandchildren Sabrina and Carmen, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. Carmen was predeceased by his brothers Frank, Joseph and Jorlando LaGaipa and his sister, Rose Ciambriello. His family would like to give special thanks to Fran and Carin and the staff of St. Joseph’s Center for their kindness. Services will be private at the convenience of his family.
