Carol Marie Ramik

Carol Marie Hurliman Ramik, age 95 of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Edward J. Ramik Sr., passed away peacefully Saturday, November 12, 2022, surrounded by her family in her home. Carol was born in Bridgeport, daughter of Charles and Josephine Lucey Hurliman. She attended Stratford High School then entered St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse. After traveling the country as a nurse then working in the medical clinic at Remington Arms she retired as head nurse for the University of Bridgeport Health Center. Carol was passionately devoted to her children, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren. Family gatherings bought tremendous joy to her as she loved to entertain us all singing her favorite songs. She loved being a mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Survivors include three beloved children, Edward J. Ramik, Jr. and wife Robin of Shelton, Charles S. Ramik of Stratford and Joanne (Jody) Ramik Cleveland and husband Robert of Milford, two grandchildren Catherine Marie Herman and husband Scott of East Hampton and Jennifer Ramik of Seymour, two great grandchildren, Madison and Edward Herman, six nieces and nephews and cousins Marjorie O’Looney and Kathleen Adams. She was also predeceased by her beloved son Detective Trooper First Class John C. Ramik and her brother Charles Hurliman and wife Ethel.  Friends & family may call at Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, Friday, November 18th, at 10:00a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00p.m. (Noon), St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford.
