Private Interment

Christopher Paul Cohn, age 40, of Bridgeport passed away on January 6, 2018 in Bridgeport Hospital with his beloved wife, Elizabeth Kruszka Cohn, by his side. Chris was born on March 23, 1977 in Amityville, New York. He was the son of Barbara Malenczak Cohn and the late Robert Cohn. In 1987, Chris and his family moved from Long Island to Connecticut. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1995. Chris spent many years working in the plumbing supply industry. He was an avid New York Islanders, Yankees and Giants fan. Chris was such a kind and caring person. He loved his family and friends with all of his heart. He had an incredibly close relationship with his mother whom he adored so much. His sense of humor and his smooth dance moves will be remembered by those close to him. Chris’ love of holiday traditions with his family, and his endless thoughtful ways will be remembered by all. He loved surprising his wife with flowers, presents, and blindfolded day trips just because he loved to see her happy.  His favorite place to be was just sitting on the couch with his wife watching TV in their comfy clothes. The brief 8 months that he spent as a father to Justin was full of much love and happiness. Justin will always be reminded of the silly made-up songs his daddy would sing to him to make him laugh and smile. In addition to his loving wife Liz, infant son Justin Edward, and his amazing mother Barbara, he is survived by three brothers Scott, Kevin and Timothy Cohn, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maryann and Edward Kruszka, 10 cherished nieces and nephews, his two cat babies, Baxter and Marley, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. A funeral mass will be held Thursday at 11:30am at St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport. Interment will be private. Friends may call Wednesday 3-8pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been set up for his son, Justin. Please contact Elizabeth Cohn for details. Christopher’s Family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Bridgeport Hospital for the compassionate care they provided Chris during his final days, especially Danielle, Kaitlin, Lisa, (M.o.H) Sam, and Tom.
