Diane Gorman

Diane Knowlton Lyon Gorman, age 80, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on 8/25/2022 with family by her side. Originally of Ludlow, MA, Diane was the daughter of Gene and Edith Lyon.  She graduated from Ludlow High School in 1959.  She then went on to the Chamberlain School of Retailing in Boston where she worked in many high-end retailing businesses.  

She leaves behind her husband, Michael, of over 58 years. Three daughters: Kathleen Raucci and husband Michael of Milford and granddaughters Kimberly, Rebecca, Allison and Jillian. Kerry Roberts and Thomas of Wallingford and grandchildren Ryan, Colin and Erin. And Kristine Heslin and her husband Kevin of Milford and grandchildren Katelyn and Colton.  

Diane was a very kind, loving and giving person, always putting everyone else’s needs before her own.  Diane was a volunteer for many local clubs and organizations: PTA at Daniels Farm School, Hillcrest and Trumbull High School.  She served on the Trumbull Scholarship Committee, an officer of Trumbull Women’s Club and even won an award for Trumbull Volunteer of the year.   Diane loved to play tennis, garden, spend time with her beloved dogs and birdwatching.  She was a true and loyal friend.

The family would like to give thanks to the hospice staff at Ridgefield VNA Health and a special thanks to Theresa for all her support and care.

Services will be on 8/27/2022 for immediate family only.
