Eleanor Ann Festa

Eleanor Ann Festa, age 86, of Fairfield, died peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport.

She was born to Stephen and Anna Durec on May 27, 1935 in Elmsford, NY. She attended school at Alexander Hamilton High School in Elmsford where she met her future husband and then went on to Tefts Business School. Eleanor worked at County Trust and Borek, Stockel and Company both in White Plains. She married Dominick Festa on June 21, 1958.

Eleanor and Dominick raised their family in Elmsford and Pleasantville NY until retiring to Naples, FL in 1988. In Naples they were active members of Countryside Golf and Country Club. They made many new friends, played golf and enjoyed the beaches and sunsets. They moved to Fairfield in 2018.

Eleanor is survived by her husband of 63 years and a sister Nancy Durec of Phoenixville, PA. Other survivors include her two daughters, Susan Fiske (Ronald) of Fairfield, CT and Stephanie Festa of West Palm Beach, FL, four grandchildren, Harry and Caroline Fiske and Joseph and Ella Godwin, and four nephews and nieces, Bob Schuttrumpf (Cindy), Roseann Wynter, James Mazzone (Danielle) and Michelle Green (Ned).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 24 at 11:00a.m., meeting directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private.
