Elmer L. Fedor (Al), age 92, of Newtown, CT, formerly of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2017 at the Veterans Hospital in West Haven. Born in Mallory, West VA, he was the son of the late Josef and Barbara Fedor. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Lorraine (Lynch) Fedor. Elmer was a disabled WWII U.S. Army veteran, serving as a light machine gunner in the 42nd Rainbow Division. His disabilities did not hinder him from becoming successful in his career or his personal life. He was employed at the Bodine Corporation as a control supervisor, and retired after 42 years of service there. Elmer was the much loved father of Debbie Simek and her husband Joe, of Newtown, CT, and Cindy Fedor of Stratford, CT. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Ryan Simek and Jill, of New Milford, CT., Troy Simek of Newtown, CT, and Ciara Simek and Sean of Danbury, CT. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Joseph Fedor, and four sisters, Julia Seaman, Maria Koch, Margaret Hanna, and Helen Santo. Family and friends are invited to attend Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue, Trumbull, on September 25, 2017, at 11:00am, for a Mass of Christian Burial.
