Evelyn H. Plavnicky Dolan, age 88 of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Bridgeport Police Inspector Patrick J. Dolan, passed away, Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born in New York City, daughter of the late John and Anna Kollar Plavnicky and was a long time Bridgeport resident before moving to Fairfield. She retired as an executive secretary for the Avco-Lycoming Company. Survivors include her devoted daughters Patricia Weitzman and husband Hervey, M.D., of Easton, Laura Braddock and Janet Dolan, both of New York City, two granddaughters Hannah Vallerie and husband James, and Elizabeth Weitzman and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by a granddaughter May Braddock, two brothers and two sisters John and Charles Plavnicky, Margaret Remsen and Marie Gannon. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 8, at 11:00a.m., in St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford.
