George T. Hulton “The Duke”, age 92 of Bridgeport passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport he was the son of the late George H. and Anna Allen Hulton. Mr. Hulton was a graduate of St. Augustine’s School and Central High School and in his younger years was with the Fairfield Police. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II in the Philippines and Pacific. He retired from Bridgeport Hospital as an electrician. He was an avid golfer and sports fan especially of the New York Teams. He was a sharp dressed man who loved life. Mr. Hulton will be remembered as a man of strong faith. Survivors include his loving children, sons Michael Hulton and his wife Cindy and George Hulton and his wife Shirley and daughters Laura Carlson and her husband Paul and Diane Hulton, six grandchildren, George, Douglas, Robert, Christopher, Thomas and Allison, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his dog, Lola. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Ann and Marie Hulton, Arlene Cilio, brother William Hulton, and longtime companion Dorothy Kehoe. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00am meeting directly in St. Patrick’s Church, 851 North Avenue, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Sunday 3-6pm in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
