Irene C. Zargo

Irene C. Zargo, age 81, of Bridgeport, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.  She was born in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late James Constas and Carrie (Koch) Constas.  A graduate of Harding High School, Irene started her career as a telephone operator at Southern New England Telephone and finished working as an administrator at Silver Hill Hospital.  

She enjoyed many things including cooking, attending the theater, watching movies and television dramas, listening to music, philanthropy and animals. 

Irene is predeceased by her ex-husband, Leonard R. Zargo, Sr. and her son, Christopher Zargo. 

She is survived by her sons, Leonard R. Zargo, Jr. of Brookfield, CT, and Erik Zargo of Green Cove Spring, FL, and two grandsons, Max and Nicholas.  

The Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, is in charge of arrangements which at the request of the family will be private.
