Jeanne E. Preli

Jeanne Elizabeth Preli, age 96, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away, Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in LiveWell Nursing Home, Plantsville. Jeanne was born in Stamford on January 1, 1924, daughter of the late Ettore and Barbara Fulvi Spadoni. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1941, and worked for the City of Stamford as an executive secretary for the Board of Education and later in the Engineering Department. Jeanne was an accomplished church organist, choir director, and vocalist, she also was a dedicated piano instructor to many students young and old. In 2005, she graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BA in Liberal Arts and a minor in Music, at the age of 81. Survivors include her devoted children; two sons Thomas L. Preli of New Milford, and Richard L. Preli of Stamford, two daughters Jeanne Preli Laughlin of Stamford and Dr. Joanne Preli-Trocchi of Southington, seven cherished grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Private funeral services will held and interment will be St. John’s Cemetery, Darien.
