John M. Slezak Sr., age 79 of Trumbull, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Jo-Pam Pironti Slezak. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late John B. and Lucille Kalagian Slezak and has been a Trumbull resident since 1980. John was a U.S. Army Veteran and office manager at Household Finance. Upon his retirement he worked as head custodian in the Trumbull Board of Education Main Building. Survivors in addition to his wife, Jo-Pam, include a son John M. Slezak II of Trumbull, daughter Jackie Mitchell and husband Kenny of Orange, granddaughter Nora, sister Mary Spaner and husband Stewart of Stratford, nephew Craig Spaner of Portsmith, RI, niece Jennifer Spaner Applegate of Trumbull, and his canine companion “Muddy”. Friends and family are invited to greet his family Saturday 12:00p.m. (noon) – 2:30p.m., in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
