John Whaley passed comfortably in the early afternoon of July 25 surrounded and loved by his three daughters and sister at St. Vincent Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. He was 66.
John bravely fought a long, hard battle of complicated respiratory issues. He was taken from this world too soon. He will be forever missed by his family and friends, but they find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and is celebrating his renewed body beyond this mortal world.
He is survived by his three daughters, Courtney, Dana, and Clara Whaley. He is also survived by his mother Marion Whaley, his older sister Cheryl Cordova and younger sister Laura Whaley.
John was born in Bridgeport, CT on December 8, 1954 where he grew up before living in Trumbull, Newtown, and finally Easton, CT.
John enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a passion for animals and building antique Corvettes. He was a dedicated hard worker and worked primarily as a painter and contractor. He truly enjoyed his work and looked forward to continuing it even near his final days.
John loved his best friend, Buddy, a German short haired pointer who would accompany him on jobs and slept beside him at night. The two were inseparable. Buddy has since found a loving home in the green hills of Bethlehem, CT.
