Joseph M. Delfino age 89 of Trumbull passed away Tuesday January 9, 2018 at Cambridge Manor. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna Colatrella Delfino. Born in Stamford, he was the son of the late Matthew and Hannah Parker Delfino, and had been a Trumbull resident almost 50 years. Joe graduated from Stamford High School, Class of 1946, was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran serving after World War II and later attended Villanova University. He retired after a prestigious 25 year career with Reynolds and Reynolds before starting his own Fernwood Corporation. Joe was an avid golfer at Brooklawn Country Club, where he spent many afternoons on the course or playing cards with his close friends. Survivors include his 7 children, Joseph R. Delfino and his wife Peggy of North Borough, MA, Matthew Delfino and his wife Peggy of Shelton, Michael Delfino, Mark Delfino of Bridgeport, Francesca Burr and her husband Tom of Glastonbury, John Delfino of Trumbull, Mimi Kale and her husband Josh of Greer, SC, a brother John Delfino and his wife Carol, sisters, Delores Mazzola and her husband Frank, Grace D’Amico and her husband Lou, 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 9:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Monday 4:00 to 8:00p.m., in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
