Laurence B. McQuade

Laurence B. McQuade, age 92, Stratford, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Lord Chamberlain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Patrick and Anna Flannigan McQuade.  Laurence had a long career as an accountant in private practice and was the former treasurer of the Town of Fairfield.  While a resident of Fairfield, he was active in community affairs.  He was a life member of the Gaelic-American Club.  Survivors include his devoted children; Kevin L. McQuade and wife Denise of Shelton, Kerry J. McQuade and wife Lisa of San Diego, CA, Brian T. McQuade and wife Justine of San Diego, CA, Sean P. McQuade and partner Louise of East Lyme, Ellen B. Smith and husband David of Orange, and Lauren P. Kennedy and husband Terry of Mission Viejo, CA, twelve grandchildren; Ryan, Connor, Rachel, Aaron, Ashley, Amanda, Kelly, Corey, Dillon, Christopher, Dylan and Alexandra, and one great grandson Jax, and several nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by his two brothers Joseph and Charles.  Our special thanks to the 3rd floor Lord Chamberlain Nursing Staff and Physical Therapy Department for the excellent care they gave him.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.  Friends may call Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Redgate-Hennessy, 4 Gorham Place, Trumbull.  Those who so desire may make a contribution in his memory to the Michael J.
